About
Hi. I am a lone kiter.
I am drawn to open spaces, shades of blue, long distances, remote areas, and wilderness. I don’t like to rely on others. I conquer my own limits on my own terms for my own soul.
The mystique of adventure is my driving force. It’s a journey to explore my own character and the spiritual depths of our Universe. Solo but never alone, I will go on and on, until, sooner or later, I reach the end of the horizon. (Inspired by a young poet and adventurer Everett Ruess, who wrote in 1931: “My burro and I, and a little dog, are going on and on, until, sooner or later, we reach the end of the horizon.”)
Many thanks to my wonderful wife for her support and to our dog for his cheerful tail wagging upon my returns.
“In every sport, there is a sort of authorship to any FIRST route/ascent/lake cross etc. — like a writer or a painter creating something from scratch.”
